According to the american Rolling Stone John's new album will be out at the end of this year!

This article appears in this months Rolling Stone:

There's a good moon rising for John Fogerty, who has a new baby, a new record label and a new album in the works. The former leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival has signed with Dreamworks Records, which is run by Mo Ostin and Lenny Waronker, the team that helped orchestrate Fogerty's 1985 comeback album, Centerfield.

"Lenny has the best ears in the music business," says Fogerty'"and I've grown to use him as a sounding board for my musical endeavors."

Fogerty expects to hand in his DreamWorks debut-his first studio album since 1997's Blue Moon Swamp-by year's end:

"Lenny has said,' Be true to yourself, John. Go make your dream record now.'" Toward that end, Fogerty says, "Even in this age of machine-driven synthetic stuff, there's nothing like the human touch. What was the album of the year at this year's Grammy's? It was a bluegrass record, which is basically a tribute to people who feel from the heart and are incredible players. There are still many millions of people who want to hear grat music."

CCR ROAD MANAGER DIED

Bruce Young, former road manager for CCR and a partner with Stu and Doug in their production company has passed on.
[ Info by Hank Bordowitz ]

Stu Cook about Bruce Young:
Bruce met us at San Jose State University in 1964. He was Creedence's first employee, and the best Road Manager we could have asked for. After the band broke up, Bruce was a partner in Factory Productions with Doug and me. In the '80s he was my personal assistant and worked closely with me on my various production projects. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year. He will be missed by his wonderful family, and many friends.

ICE MAGAZIN ABOUT THE CCR BOX

WHILE EL CERRITO, CA’s Creedence Clearwater Revival has been widely recognized for its nine Top Ten singles (including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising" and "Lookin’ Out My Back Door"), scant attention has been paid during the CD era to the band’s early period from the mid-’60s. A new six-disc box set, called simply Creedence Clearwater Revival and due October 30 on Fantasy, sets out to rectify that...more.

NEW SINGLE PHOTOS

We've added some single photos to our discographys again:

CCR: Bootleg / Good Golly Miss Molly
John Fogerty/BRR: Blue Ridge Mountain Blues / Have Thine Own Way Lord
Don Harrison Band: Rock 'n' Roll Records / Barroom Dancing Girl
